WORKSHOP PROPOSAL 

This years theme Celebrating 25 Years, the Past. Present. Future gives presenters an opportunity to take a glimpse at where we have been, are and where we are going in CACFP. We will also be looking forward to workshops/panels that include the National CACFP take ACTION Challenge.

All proposals should reflect research and/or practical experience that is innovative, well-grounded, and consistent with the principles of effective adult learning in a conference setting.

All applications should be submitted electronically using the online form. You may submit more than one application, but submit only one session proposal per application. The new deadline for these proposals is May 31, 2016. The Child Care Food Program Roundtable Conference Committee will announce selections by July 31, 2016.

PRESENTER GUIDELINES

Presentation Length: Typically, 1.25 hours or 75 minutes (no break)

Training Content Priorities: Conference attendees represent CACFP professionals from diverse areas of practice. Each applicant should identify the Track that aligns with the topic of the proposed presentation so that we can ensure a variety of topics are addressed at the conference.

Attendees’ Professional Levels: Diverse

Presenter Registration: CCFP Roundtable offers a generous registration discount for a $150.00 Registration Fee for presenters who wish to attend the event. It is not mandatory that a Presenter attend the event if they chose to teach their workshop and leave. However, it is mandatory that all presenters fill out a registration form for the conference. Co- presenters who wish to attend the event are offered the same discount as a presenter.

Honorarium and Expenses: As a non-profit educational association, CCFP Roundtable does not award workshop presenters an honorarium. Travel, hotel, and other expenses are the responsibility of the presenter.

Presenter Responsibilities: Handouts and all presentation materials will be required electronically. Deadline for electronic distribution is October 12, 2016. Printed handouts are the responsibility of the presenter to reproduce. A maximum occupancy number for your workshop room will be given in order for you to determine your printout quantity needs. In the event that the sessions attendees outnumber your handouts, all materials are posted on the CCFP Roundtable website and you can direct your attendees to the link. The information that you provide in this proposal will be used in our printed program, thank you ahead of time for paying attention to spelling, grammar and punctuation. By filling in this form you are stating that you are available to present on either conference day. Due to the large amount of workshops we are not able to accommodate individual schedule needs.

DELIVERIES: Presenters wishing to send materials to the hotel must follow these guidelines:

♦    The hotel charges for package handling. 

We will payup $5 fee for your first 0- pound package

  (heavier packages are more). Charges for additional 

package swill be billed after the conference.

♦     Packages may not arrive earlier than 3 business           days prior to your arrival date.
♦     Packages must be marked as follows:

Audio Visual: All workshop rooms will be in theater style unless otherwise noted and will include an LCD projector with screen and 1 flip chart with markers & paper upon request. Sound: We will provide a microphone in rooms that hold 50 or more attendees.

Marketing Opportunities for Presenters: Presenters representing vendors or consulting firms are asked not to sell or market items within the training session. However, presenters may contact CCFP Roundtable to secure space in the exhibit area to sell their products. Presenters interested in marketing their services and materials should see the Exhibitors Information Page.

How Sessions Are Selected: The CCFP Roundtable receives all session applications and groups them into Tracks. The Committee Chair compiles the reviewer information and submits a panel of recommendations to the Presenter Conference Committee.
